Getting started
This guide walks you from a fresh WordPress install to a publishable recipe in under ten minutes.
1. Activate the plugin
Upload MisePress Recipes in Plugins → Add New → Upload and activate it.
After activation, a new MisePress menu appears in the admin sidebar.
2. First-run wizard
A four-question wizard (use case, theme, measurement, demo content) sets sensible defaults. You can re-open it any time from MisePress → Tools → Re-run setup.
3. Settings overview
| Tab | What it controls |
|---|---|
| General | Frontend theme, measurement system, breadcrumbs, structured data. |
| Modules | Toggle features (search, account, allergens, ingredient pages, etc.). |
| Frontend Appearance | Accent color, card style, and recipe display style. |
| Admin Appearance | Admin theme. |
4. Add a recipe
Recipes → Add Recipe: title, story, ingredients, instructions, cook & prep time, servings, difficulty, allergens, cuisines, courses, ingredient terms.
5. Render recipes anywhere
