MisePress uses ingredients in two ways.

Imported recipes are cleaned and parsed into structured ingredient rows. Quantity, unit, item, note, and substitute are stored separately.

The importer recognises common English, French, Spanish, Italian, and German unit words, including accented French terms such as cuillère, càs, càc, tasse, and gousse.
