Ratings & Reviews

MisePress can collect recipe ratings and reviews, display aggregate stars, show rating distributions and output review schema where appropriate.

Enable reviews

Enable reviews from Settings → Account & Engagement.

Options can include:

• Enable ratings and reviews.
• Require login to leave a review.
• Hold reviews for moderation.
• Show rating stars on recipe cards.
• Show rating summary on single recipes.

Single recipe display

Single recipes can show:

• Rating stars near the main actions.
• Aggregate rating card.
• Rating distribution bars.
• Review submission form.
• Recent reviews.

Avoid repeating the same rating summary too many times in one template. The small stars near the recipe actions are best as a quick confidence signal, while the full reviews section should contain the detailed breakdown.

Recipe cards

Card rating display can be enabled in recipe card settings. Stars should use the active design system colours: native MisePress colours when inheritance is off, and Automatic.css tokens when inheritance is on.

Moderation

Use the review moderation screen to approve, reject or manage submitted reviews. If moderation is active, reviews do not affect public aggregate output until approved.

Schema

Review and aggregate rating data can be added to Recipe schema when Schema.org output is enabled and the recipe has valid review data.
