Tools

Tools are available from MisePress → Tools. They are grouped into tabs so routine maintenance is easier to understand.

Overview

The overview tab summarises the recommended workflow:

1. Import or migrate recipes.
2. Rebuild indexes.
3. Audit quality and schema.
4. Recalculate nutrition where available.

Import & migration

Import tools include:

• Settings export as JSON.
• Settings import from JSON.
• Recipe import from URL with JSON-LD extraction where possible.
• Recipe import from supported files.
• Migration from supported recipe plugins.
• Migration readiness detection.
• Dry-run migration audit.

Supported sources can include WP Recipe Maker, Tasty Recipes, WP Delicious, Mediavine Create, Ziplist legacy, Paprika/JSON-style files, JSON-LD URLs and generic JSON depending on the installed build.

Maintenance & audits

Maintenance tools include:

• Recipe quality audit.
• Schema/SEO audit.
• Search/discovery index rebuild.
• Nutrition recalculation where Nutrition is active.
• Cache clearing.
• Demo content removal.
• Setup wizard reopen.

Recipe quality audit

The quality audit checks recipes for common publishing gaps:

• Missing featured image.
• Missing prep/cook/total time.
• Missing servings.
• Missing ingredients.
• Missing instructions.
• Missing nutrition.
• Missing allergens.
• Schema-critical missing fields.

Schema/SEO audit

The schema audit checks whether a recipe is likely to produce complete Recipe schema.

Typical checks include:

• Name.
• Image.
• Description.
• Ingredients.
• Instructions.
• Times.
• Yield/servings.
• Nutrition.
• Rating data.

Search/discovery index

The index rebuild refreshes the lightweight search/discovery index used by smart search, typo tolerance, ingredient matching and “Use what I have”. Rebuild after large imports, bulk edits, taxonomy changes or ingredient changes.

Nutrition tools

When Nutrition is available, tools can:

• Recalculate nutrition for all recipes.
• Clear stale nutrition/query cache.
• Refresh matched values from local ingredient data and API data.

Setup wizard

The setup wizard can be reopened after major changes. Use it when switching design system, enabling Automatic.css inheritance, installing demo content, changing archive layout or enabling major modules.
